bullet Transatlantic Education for Global Sustainable Forest Sector Development
Students need a better understanding for the impacts of global forest issues on local conditions. They need to know how to work with various stakeholders with sensitivity and professionalism. Cultural awareness and understanding, ability to deal with conflicts and strong negotiation skills are key qualifications. The breadth and depth of information required is often difficult for a single institution to develop and deliver. However, through collaboration, institutions can deliver a higher quality education to students, not only to those who are fortunate enough to be able to participate in student mobility programs, but also to their student body as a whole.

This successful program ran from Oct.2004 to August 2008. A follow-up program is in preparation.
